Academic resume templates

An academic CV is a different document from a resume, and the main difference is that it does not end. Where a resume is an argument compressed to a page, a CV is a complete record: publications, conference presentations, teaching history, supervision, grants and funding, peer review, service, and affiliations. Length is not a fault - a mid-career CV running to six or eight pages is ordinary, and cutting it to fit a page would omit the evidence the reader came for. These templates are set to stay legible across many pages, keep publication lists readable in a consistent citation format, and let sections run long without the layout falling apart. Use them for faculty applications, postdoctoral and research posts, graduate programme applications, fellowships and grant submissions. For a role outside the university, send a resume instead.
