Creative resume templates

Creative templates use colour, asymmetry and typography more assertively, on the understanding that in some fields the resume is itself a work sample. A design lead who sends a plain document has answered a question about their judgement. These are the right choice for design, illustration, art direction, editorial, photography and content roles, and for portfolio submissions generally - and they are the wrong choice almost everywhere else, because the same page that demonstrates taste in a studio reads as a distraction in a compliance department. Two practical notes: several of these use a two-column arrangement, which some older application portals flatten when they parse it, so keep a single-column version for portals that strip formatting. And if a posting asks for a plain-text resume, send one.
