Professional resume templates

Professional templates are the ones you reach for when the reader has seen a thousand resumes and expects yours to look like the rest - in structure, not in substance. Section order is conventional: contact details, a short summary, experience in reverse chronological order, then education and skills. Nothing is where a reader would not expect to find it, which means nobody spends attention on the layout instead of your work. These are the safest choice for finance, law, healthcare, operations, manufacturing and most large-company hiring, and they are rarely the wrong choice anywhere else. The variation across this group is mostly typographic - how much space the headings take, whether there is a rule under each section, how dense the body text sits.
